Took the Boys to the Doctor Today

I decided to take the boys to the doctor today because neither one of them slept very well last night. They both had fevers and I didn't want to end up having to take them to the ER because the doctor's office was closed. Anyway turns out they both had mild wheezing and now have to use an inhaler. I guess it's supposed to help them breathe. I hope that they are not going to develop asthma. The doctor asked me if anyone in our family had it and I told him that my brother does. The inhaler and stuff was expensive too.

All about Brandon

Brandon has been doing the cutest things lately. The other night he went and laid down with his dad. I was walking past the room and I saw him laying there next to his dad. He had one hand on the bubba he was sucking on and he was rubbing his sleeping daddy's shoulder with the other. I thought it was so cute. He misses his dad when he is at work. I wish that David could spend as much time with the boys as I do. He has been eating a lot lately which is really great. His new word is "cookin'." He will point to the microwave and tell me "cookin'." He loves bagels and it sounds so cute when he says it! He has been watching so much Elmo lately. We rented Elmo Visits the Firehouse and he loves to watch it. We also rented Charlotte's Web and Dr. Dolittle. He seems to enjoy watching them also. The other day as I was walking down the hallway I could hear him in the living room repeating the alphabet with the t.v. A Sesame Street episode was on that would say a letter and then wait a couple of seconds and then say the next letter and he would repeat the letters! He just turned two! I am so proud of him. He has been doing that with the numbers also. He wants to hold his little brother a lot. He says "hold it, hold it" and sits down with his arms out. I try to tell him "hold him" but he always forgets. He likes to give Xander kisses too and things to hold in his hands, but if he's in a bad mood he doesn't want Xander to have anything - especially his ninnies!

Another Late Night.

It's late. I should be in bed but instead I'm sitting here at the computer. I was able to get a few things done but not as much as I would have liked of course. Brandon has been going to bed with his Daddy lately which is a good thing. He knows when he is tired. Xander is getting better. He actually went to bed without me tonight after sleeping in my lap for a little while. We went to the library today. I can't believe that I haven't taken more advantage of the local libraries in the past. I'm surprised that they have so much there now. You can check out movies, cds and even magazines. Who needs to buy those things anymore?

Xander has had a cold for a while and I think he's going to be getting those teeth soon. He has been crying quite a bit but he's still such a smiley little guy. His tears just break my heart though! I feel so bad for him. I like having my little baby but I'm looking forward to him learning to walk and get around on his own. I think that he and Brandon will have so much fun! They seem to really enjoy each other already. I'm so glad that we chose to have them so close together. I really am a very lucky mom to have such a great little family. I just look at their little faces sometimes and its still hard for me to believe that they're mine. :)

I can't believe its been a week!

Wow. I can't believe it's been a week since my last post. We've been so busy and it just kept slipping my mind. David and I have a lot on our plates right now and I think we're both feeling the weight of it. Change. Change is good. I think that our family is ready for some change. I am looking into some new opportunities for myself. I found a company that I really feel like I can believe in and make a difference in my own life and that of my family as well as others. I'll have to see how it goes, but I am putting a lot of effort into it.

I did a lot of research on cloth diapering and have decided to make the switch. We are spending so much on diapers and wipes. It's rediculous. Not to mention what we're doing to the environment. The intial investment is quite pricey but compared to what we'll save in the long run I think it's more than worth the time I'll spend washing dirty diapers!
